Moonton announced that Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Southeast Asia Cup (MSC) 2022, will be held offline. Held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, this competition will run from 11 - 19 June 2022.
As many as 12 participants from various countries including Indonesia, are ready to compete to be the best Mobile Legends team in Southeast Asia. They will also compete for a total prize of USD 300 thousand .
But before that, there will be a group draw to determine the place for each team. This will be done on May 29, in a statement received by us, Thursday (7/4/2022).
The following is a complete list of 12 countries that will contribute and qualify:
Indonesia: S9 Champion and S9 Runner-up
Philippines: S9 Champion and S9 Runner-up
Malaysia: S9 Champion and S9 Runner-up
Singapore: S3 Champion and S3 Runner-up
Cambodia: 2022 Spring Split Champion and 2022 Spring Split Champion Runner-up
Myanmar: Champion (via qualifying tournament)
Laos: Champion (via qualifying tournament involving Vietnam and Thailand)
Vietnam: Champion (via qualifying tournament involving Laos and Thailand)
Thailand: Champion (via qualifying tournament involving Vietnam and Laos)
A little information, MSC itself was held offline in 2017 in Jakarta and Manila, Philippines. At that time, IDNS, a team from Thailand, managed to win the title.
Then the following year, Aether Main, an esports organization from the Philippines, won the title of the strongest team in Southeast Asia. There was also the Indonesian branch of Onic Esports, which at that time was known as a gathering place for Kage, who were finally able to experience the title of champion at MSC 2019.
Since the Covid-19 pandemic visited various countries around the world, this competition was not held. Then it came back in 2021 and Execration, a team from the Philippines, managed to win the title. They got that, after overthrowing their country mate, Blacklist International with a final score of 4 - 1.
