Newly Released, iPhone SE 2022 Has Been Hit by Bad News

iPhone SE 2022 is pretty much said to be in demand by many people because behind its old school design, there is a powerful A15 Bionic chip and 5G connection. However, recently launched, there is already bad news about it.

The news is the cut in production of this cheap iPhone. Citing sources, the Nikkei said Apple is cutting production of the 2022 iPhone SE due to the global conflict involving Russia and Ukraine, as well as rising inflation.

Apple plans to cut production of the 2022 iPhone SE by 20% in the next quarter due to lower-than-expected demand. This figure is equivalent to 2-3 million units.

Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of TF Securities even lowered his forecast for iPhone SE shipments this year, from the previous 25-30 million units to 15-20 million units.

Then what's the reason? Of course the iPhone SE 2022 will still be selling well and not dead on arrival. However, this production cut is considered a sign that the shortage of the iPhone SE 2022 is quite large in the eyes of potential consumers.

"Although it looks like its predecessor, the iPhone SE is a pretty interesting upgrade. It brings the latest Apple A15 Bionic processor, longer battery life and camera performance. But it feels like this change is not enough for some consumers," wrote Cult of Mac.

"Apple may not be able to ignore the fact that consumers are getting fed up with the old design of the iPhone SE. Most reviews agree it's time for Apple to leave this design for something a little more modern," they added.

"Although the iPhone SE 2022 is a new phone, it is far from the best iPhone label. In fact, for most of us, this phone is probably a downgrade," wrote iMore, quoted by us.
