Windows 11 Will Have Anti-Phishing Features

Microsoft will provide a number of new security features for Windows 11, including to protect users from phishing attacks.

This security update is scheduled to arrive in 2022, but the exact date has not been revealed. When activated, this phishing protection feature will provide notifications to users on conditions that are suspected to be phishing actions.

The condition in question is when a user enters their Microsoft account information into a site or program that has previously been recognized as a phishing act. The same feature will also protect users from fraudulent actions through advertisements.

How to activate it can be done by going to the Windows Security menu > App & Browser Control > Reputation-based Protection > Phishing Protection.

This phishing protection feature can also warn users about using the same password or storing unsafe passwords.

As is known, phishing is a relatively simple method to steal personal data that is still very widely used today. The reason is that this method is relatively easy to do but has a high success rate.

There is also one other interesting security feature that Microsoft recently introduced. That is the use of cloud-based AI to block untrusted, malicious, and unsigned applications. It's just that to activate this feature users need to reinstall Windows.

Microsoft also plans to introduce personal data encryption, which allows Windows Hello for Business to protect users' data when their device is lost or stolen.

There is also a feature called Hypervisor-Protected Code Integrity, which will be enabled by default in the next Windows 11 update, which will ensure that only signed and trusted drivers can be installed on the computer.
