Google today at the Google I/O event shared a number of developments regarding their platform, and one of them was with respect to the Android operating system.
According to Google, in 2021 alone, they saw the demand for Android devices increase dramatically compared to previous years.
In total, as many as 1 billion new Android devices have been activated in 2021 alone - making it a very large number achieved by Google.
This also makes Android the world's largest operating system - surpassing Windows and Apple's offerings.
In addition to Android, Google also saw active WearOS devices now increase to 3 times compared to the previous year.
