Apple added new rules for apps in the App Store starting next June 22. Any application that allows users to create an account must allow users to also delete their account directly from within the application on that date.
This feature should also be easily searchable by users in the app. If the Sign In with Apple feature is used, the authorization token provided by the user will also need to be deleted after the account is deleted.
Any user data should also be deleted by the developer rather than simply deactivated through the newly published App Store Review Guidelines 5.1.1 (v). This is in line with Apple’s principle that the privacy of user data is respected.
