Google was ready to lead the arena of smart glasses through Google Glass a few years ago. Recently, at the Google I/O event, Google also unveiled a prototype of their new smart glasses that come with real-time translation integration.
Through these smart glasses, it will do the translation done in real time and the transcript will be shown through the AR beam on the smart glasses.
This also gives you "subtitles" for the real world, while making it easier for you to stay in touch with people around you regardless of language.
With this move as well, Google is also showing a more realistic usage method, rather than metamesta -shaped like some other companies.
