Lighter Google Street View Camera Available With LiDAR Support

Do you still remember the world before Google Street View? We need to guess what the location we want to visit looks like in our heads. Since Street View was first supported in Malaysia, it's as easy as clicking in the app and turning until you're satisfied. Today Google shared a new design of their Street View camera.

The camera is now lighter and weighs only about 6 kilograms. With this the process of carrying it into the woods, mountain tops, and carried kayaking on the sea surface will no longer torment the wearer. The camera also has modular support with components such as LiDAR can be added if necessary. 3D scanning allows perforated road information and the location of road markers to be more accurately mapped.

The new design also allows it to be carried by the various types of vehicles used by the Street View team in the future. Software updates allow it to be controlled directly from within a smartphone only.
