MySejahtera Is Now Used For The Purpose Of Monitoring Of Smallpox

The MySejahtera application is no longer used regularly as it is no longer mandatory since May 1. The Ministry of Health Malaysia has now reactivated the use of MySejahtera for the purpose of monitoring visitors coming to Malaysia from high-risk countries.

Visitors from the United States, Australia, Belgium, the Netherlands, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Congo, Nigeria, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, and the UK will receive a notification in MySejahtera that they are at risk.

The application will also be used throughout the monitoring period from home for patients if the disease is detected in Malaysia. At the time there were more than 200 cases of smallpox reported worldwide but still none in Malaysia.
