Note! This is how to straighten the direction of Qibat when the sun is above the Kaaba May 28

We provide tips and ways for Muslims to adjust the Qibla direction again on May 28, 2022.

At that time, the Sun will be directly above the Kaaba, an event that occurs twice a year. The first time it happened on May 28 and the second time it will take place July 15, 2022.

To determine the Qibla direction using the Supreme Culmination, it is fairly easy and certainly cheap.

And please note that the results are also accurate, even more accurate than if we use a tool, such as a compass, because the compass is influenced by natural or artificial magnetic fields so that it can affect the accuracy of the measurement.

The following are the steps in determining the Qibla direction using the Great Culmination:

Determine the place where the Qibla direction will be known. Find a flat location and of course exposed to sunlight.

Provide a straight stick or other upright, non-hollow object (such as chalkboard markers, PET plastic bottles, water bottles/tumblr, etc.) or if not available, use bobbin thread.

Prepare a calibrated clock

Stick the sticks above the ground and make sure the sticks are completely perpendicular (90° from the ground) or hang the bobble string.

Wait until the time of the Great Culmination arrives, then observe the shadow of the stick or string at that time. Mark the end of the shadow, then draw a straight line with the center of the shadow (stick/pendulum). The straight line that goes from the tip to the center of the shadow is the Qibla direction for the place.

The time of the Great Culmination occurred on:

May 28, 2022

03:01:42 Saudi Arabian time or 07:12:58 WIB

15 July 2022

23:01:42 Saudi Arabian time or 03:01:42 WIB on 16 July 2022.

Given that the Sun is still below the horizon , so the closest midday is:

May 28, 2022

12:17:59 Saudi Arabia time or 16:17:59 WIB/ 17:17:59 WITA/ 18:17:59 WIT

15 July 2022

12:26:42 WITA or 16:26:42 WIT/ 17:26:42 WITA/ 18:26:42 WIT

These two dates and times can be used to re-check the Qibla direction at the mosque/violation/surau/tajuk in your respective places.
