The Pixel 6a was officially announced at the Google I/O event which took place early Thursday (12/5/2022), here are the specifications and prices of the HP successor to the Pixel 5a.
Like its Pixel 6 sibling which was announced in October 2021, the Pixel 6a is powered by the Google Tensor SoC. This processor supports 5G connections and has a Titan M2 security chip.
Embedded in it is 6 GB of LPDDR5 RAM. While the internal memory uses UFS 3.1 with a capacity of 128 GB.
When it was released Pixel 6a ran Android 12. Google promised Pixel 6a to get security updates for 5 years, but for Android updates only up to 3 years.
The Pixel 6a screen uses a 6.1-inch OLED panel with Full HD + resolution. Unfortunately it still carries a 60Hz refresh rate and is protected by Gorilla Glass 3.
A 12.2 MP camera is mounted on the back with an aperture of f/1.7 and is equipped with OIS, then a 12 MP ultra-wide lens with an angle of 107 degrees. While on the front, there is an 8 MP selfie camera.
This cellphone has an IP67 certification which means it is water and dust resistant. More complete with the fingerprint feature on the screen, stereo speakers and USB Type C.
The battery has a capacity of 4,306 mAh and supports 18W fast charging. Pixel 6a comes in a charcoal color. chalk and sage.
Google started selling the new phone on July 21 in the US and countries such as Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Taiwan, Japan, Italy, Puerto Rico, Spain, UK and Singapore. The price of the Pixel 6a in Uncle Sam's country is USD 499.
