Qualcomm Introduces Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 And Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 Officially


 Qualcomm today officially launched the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, offering a number of improvements over the previous Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.


This Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 comes with 10% higher GPU upgrade support, in addition to a 30% reduction in GPU power consumption.



In addition, it also offers 10% higher performance. In terms of energy savings, Qualcomm says it now offers usage for 80 minutes longer video streaming, in addition to 50 minutes longer web browsing. Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 also comes with Snapdragon Elite Gaming support for the first time, in addition to ISP support for up to 8K HDR video recording.


Other features such as 5G network support and so on are also included on this latest processing chip. Qualcomm says a variety of smartphones using this chip will come to market soon from ASUS ROG, Black Shark, HONOR, iQOO, Lenovo, Motorola, Nubia, OnePlus, OPPO, OSOM, realme, RedMagic, Redmi, vivo, Xiaomi, and ZTE by the third quarter of 2022.



Along with the introduction of this chip as well, Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 was introduced which will be present with Honor, Oppo and Xiaomi devices soon.


The chip comes with 20% better GPU support than the Snapdragon 778G, while offering camera support up to 200MP, and 30% better artificial intelligence performance.
