One of the messaging supports included by Google on Android is RCS support. Long called "Rich Communications Services", it offers a new generation protocol to SMS - allowing users to send more than text, and include a number of multimedia content at no high cost through the support of telcos.
Touching on it, Google stated there are now over 500 million active RCS users worldwide.
In fact, at the Google partnership, they also featured the Celcom logo - one of the telcos that supports this RCS feature.
