Sebastian Vettel's Action Chasing Thief Using This Apple Feature

There was an incident that happened the day after the 2022 Spanish GP F1 which was held in Barcelona a few days ago. Namely the action of Sebastian Vettel tracking and chasing backpack thieves using Apple's 'Find My' feature.

On Monday (23/5/2022) morning, Vettel drove in Barcelona with his family. Then he parked his Aston Martin in front of the hotel and got out of the car. Unfortunately, there was a thief who then stole his backpack from the car and ran away.

Vettel, who is a four-time F1 world champion, did not immediately report the incident to the police. Instead, he jumped into the electric scooter and chased after the thief, having tracked the location of the AirPods tucked away in his backpack using the Find My feature on his iPhone.

But then the police also went after the thief along with the racer from the Aston Martin team, who was still able to track the thief's location using Find My, as quoted by us from Phone Arena, Wednesday (25/5/2022).

Unfortunately, when they arrived at an area called Barcelonetta, the chase ended because Vettel found his AirPods lying in a flower vase. The burglars apparently realized Vettel was able to track their location using the AirPods tucked away in their backpack, and threw them away.

Then a spokesman for Aston Martin confirmed the incident of the theft of Vettel's backpack.

"A bag belonging to Sebastian Vettel was stolen in Barcelona this morning. He tried to find it using his iPhone to track the location of his earphones that were in the bag; however he found the earphones had been thrown away and failed to trace the location of his stolen bag," said a spokesman for Aston Martin.

In his report to the police, Vettel said he had never seen the thief, but the police are still waiting for footage from security cameras at the hotel to identify the thief.

Unfortunately, this is the end of the incident, which has not ended well so far.
