The form and specifications of the Oppo Reno 8 Series are revealed, like what?

Although the Oppo Reno 7 series has just been released on the market, Oppo is already preparing to launch the Reno 8 series in China. This mid-range line of phones will debut in its home country on May 23, 2022.

A week before it was officially announced, the Oppo Reno 8 series could already be ordered via pre-order at several Chinese e-commerce sites. From the listing on this e-commerce, an official render has been revealed showing the shape of the Reno 8 series.

The Oppo Reno 8 line will consist of three variants, namely the standard Reno 8, Reno 8 Pro, and Reno 8 Pro+. From the official renders available, the three variants of the Reno 8 series look to have a similar rear design.

The difference is visible on the front. The standard Reno 8 has a punch-hole on the left side and a fairly thick bottom bezel, while the Reno 8 Pro has the same screen design but with a thinner bottom bezel. Meanwhile, the punch-hole on the Reno 8 Pro+ is placed in the center of the screen.

Turning to the back, the three phones have a similar design. The Reno 8 looks to have a smaller camera module than the Reno 8 Pro and Reno 8 Pro+. From this render, it is also revealed that the Reno 8 Pro and Reno 8 Pro+ may carry the MariSilicon X chipset.

The Reno 8 and Reno 8 Pro will be available in three colors. Both offer two RAM and ROM configurations, namely 8GB/128GB and 12GB/256GB. The Reno 8 and Reno 8 Pro are predicted to come with the MediaTek Dimensity 1300 chipset and Snapdragon 7 Gen 1.

Reno 8 Pro+ is equipped with three rear cameras consisting of a 50 MP main camera, an 8 MP ultrawide camera, and a 2 MP macro camera. On the front, there is a 32 MP selfie camera.

The MediaTek Dimensity 8100-Max chipset will power the Reno 8 Pro+. This phone will be available in three configurations, namely 8GB/128GB, 8GB/256GB, and 12GB/256GB, as quoted from Gizmochina, Thursday (19/5/2022).

The Reno 8 Pro+ battery has a capacity of 4,500 mAh with rumors of 80W fast charging. Other features include Android 12-based ColorOS and an under-display fingerprint sensor. The Reno 8 Pro+ will also be available in three color options, namely mint, gray, and black.

Information about the price of the Oppo Reno 8, Reno 8 Pro, and Reno 8 Pro + is not yet known. Everything will be revealed after the three are officially announced on 23 May.
