Today, only Yes offers 5G networks in Malaysia, and limited to a few locations. Several other telcos, too, are not left behind and appear to be in preparation for the introduction of their respective 5G networks.
Most recently, U Mobile has also published a page messing up the introduction of their 5G network.
Through it, U Mobile says it can enjoy "Turbo" speeds in Putrajaya, Cyberjaya and Kuala Lumpur. For information, these three locations are the earliest locations in Malaysia that have a 5G network. However, the network map also published on the specific page shows that there is no more "new network coverage" available at this time.
According to previous reports, U Mobile has yet to sign an agreement with DNB to date. However, the government said telecommunication companies were given until June 30 to sign an agreement with DNB.
With the presence of this particular site, will we see U Mobile become the next telecommunications company to introduce 5G networks, and comply with the use of networks under the DNB?
