World Record for Farthest Paper Plane Thrown - Designed by Malaysians

There are various world records set each week, and most recently, three comrades managed to break the world record for a paper airplane thrown to fly the farthest recorded.

The record was set by Kim Kyu Tae (South Korea), with the support of Shin Moo Joon (South Korea) and Chee Yie Jian (Malaysia). Shin was tasked with folding the paper airplane in question, with Kim throwing it, and it was designed by Chee.

Interestingly, Chee from Malaysia had tried to break the previous record in 2019, but recorded a distance of less than 20 feet from the world record. However, after that due to his study and work commitment, he could not pursue the target.

It wasn’t until he got acquainted with Shin who knew his designs, and was introduced to Kim to break records.

Through this latest record, the throw of the flying paper plane recorded a distance of 77.134 meters. A total of 8 throws were made in setting this world record.

Previously, the last time a world record was set in the same category was in 2012, with a distance of 69.14 meters.

With this new success, the three teammates are now aiming to break the record once again with a distance of over 80 meters. In addition, they also want to try to break the world record of the longest flying paper airplane.
