4 Mistakes That Make HP Batteries Leak

Leaking cellphone batteries is a problem that is often experienced by users. However, sometimes users are not aware that their habits are the cause.

There are four habits that make HP batteries leak quickly.

With busy daily activities and often demanding that we stay productive, some of our habits when using smartphones unknowingly actually make the battery leak easily or run out quickly.

1. Charging is not wise

One of the mistakes that must be avoided so that the battery remains durable is using the cellphone while charging, because it will make the device hot. If done continuously, the phone battery will be short-lived and quickly leak.

"It's good, when charging the device, just use the smartphone as necessary or if there is an emergency need. To be more secure, you can turn off the smartphone while it is charging. Moreover, you don't really need to wait long when charging your smartphone because now there is fast charging technology, like the Galaxy M53 5G which is equipped with a 25W Super Fast Charging feature that can charge almost 50% in just 30 minutes, so you can quickly use your smartphone again after charging it," explained Wildan.

In addition, various studies show that charging the smartphone battery to 100% is a bad habit. To extend battery life, it's a good idea to charge when the device's battery has touched the 30% mark and stop charging in the 80%-85% range.

A number of cellphones, such as the Galaxy M53 5G, already have a protect battery function which, if activated, will automatically limit charging to only 85%. So, you don't have to bother going back and forth to check how many percent of your battery is charged. Here's an easy way to activate the protect battery feature:

Open Settings

Choose Battery and device care

Choose Battery

Select More battery settings

Activate the toggle next to the protect battery feature

2. Install apps carelessly

It's a good idea to always be careful when you want to install applications. Because the applications that we download can affect the performance of the cellphone.

Avoid downloading applications other than official platforms such as the Google Play Store because they can attack the operating system which makes the cellphone slow and even pings the location continuously which can make the battery run out quickly.

In addition, you also need to avoid memory eraser or battery saver applications from third parties because many of these types of applications actually eat up a lot of memory and interfere with cellphone functions.

3. Not paying attention to application usage

Running many applications at the same time is the next thing that can drain the HP battery quickly. It's a good idea to be diligent in closing applications in the task manager to lighten HP performance and save device power.

In addition, you can also check what applications are actually running without being seen on the cellphone display.

To disable any application that you rarely use to save battery usage, you can follow these easy steps:

Open Settings

Choose Battery and device care

Choose Battery

Select Background usage limits

Activate the toggle next to the Put unused to sleep feature. You can also go to the Sleeping apps or Deep sleeping apps menu to select the app you want to disable when it's not opened

4. Don't use dark mode

Dark mode is one of the most popular HP features because it reduces glare from the screen which makes it more comfortable for the eyes. Interestingly, you can also maximize the dark mode function to save battery, especially on cellphones with AMOLED screens.

The reason is, when displaying black, the AMOLED screen will turn off the pixels, which reduces the power consumption of the screen. Here's how to activate the dark mode feature:

Open Settings

Select Display

At the very top of the menu, select Dark
