AMD Is Said To Be Developing A Processing Chip Based On AM4 Technology For Steam Deck 2

The Steam Deck game console was just launched earlier this year, and appeared to be difficult to purchase due to component supply issues that still plague the world. But its popularity is seen to inspire Valve to develop a newer console.

AMD is reportedly developing a new processing chip called Little Phoenix that uses a combination of AM4 technology (AMD Ryzen 5000) and also an RDNA 3 graphics chip that has not yet been launched in it. Preliminary rumors say that this chip will come with four cores and can be powered as fast as 4GHz for performance up to 50 percent better compared to the Aerith chip used in the first Steam Deck.

For now, AMD's latest component is still categorized as rumor, but development for Steam Deck 2 has already been reported with Gabe Newell, founder and president of Valve company saying himself that the most expensive version of Steam Deck is reportedly the best-selling version of the console, and it will outline how Steam Deck 2 will be developed in the future.
