Apple M2 Benchmark Score Shown On GeekBench

 


Last week, during the WWDC event, Apple introduced their latest Apple M2 processing chip as well as new MacBook Air and MacBook Pro 13 devices that use the processing chip.


Recently, the benchmark scores for the processing chips were tested using GeekBench benchmarking software, and showed higher CPU and GPU scores compared to the previous M1 processing chip offerings.



As an example, the Apple M2 showed a single-core benchmark score of 1919 and a multi-core benchmark score of 8928. As for the graphics score, the graphics chip in the M2 processor showed a score of 30627 on the GeekBench Metal test, which is a 42 percent increase in performance. compared to the previous M1 processing chip.


These scores are seen in line with Apple’s words that the M2 showed an 18 percent performance increase in terms of CPU performance and 35 percent in terms of graphics, making the latest Apple MacBook Air and MacBook Pro 13 laptops more powerful than previous offerings. .


The price tags for these devices have already been shown on Apple Malaysia's website, but it is not yet known when they will go on sale in the local market.
