Tech giant Microsoft Corp will bring some Xbox games to Samsung smart TVs in 2022, starting on June 30, 2022.
This is done as a big step in an effort to attract gamers without a console. Later customers of the Xbox cloud-gaming service will be able to play more than 100 titles on Samsung smart TVs as reported by us from Reuters, Monday (13/6/2022).
Users can take advantage of game controllers that are accompanied by bluetooth to play on smart TVs on Samsung.
These new features will be included in the Samsung Gaming Hub, which will be the first Smart TV platform to include the Xbox app on a smart TV.
Popular games including 'Halo Infinite' and 'Forza Horizon 5' will be available on Samsung's new line of TVs. Interestingly, an Xbox console will no longer be needed to play the game.
Samsung has revealed that the TVs launching with the Xbox App and Game Pass are the Neo QLED 8K, Neo QLED 4K, QLED, and the 2022 Smart Monitor series. This new feature will essentially turn the TV into a gaming machine.
Xbox has been working with major TV manufacturers since 2021 in an effort to bring its games to all devices and improve its subscription-based offering called Xbox Game Pass.
The service allowed users to stream games on Android smartphones in 2018 and is now growing.
Meanwhile, if you're not planning on buying a new Samsung TV yet, don't worry because Microsoft is also working on a dongle device codenamed Keystone.
Doing so will allow users to stream Xbox Game Pass games directly to their TV without the need for any additional hardware apart from the Keystone dongle.
