The Galaxy S21 FE managed to attract the interest of consumers because the price is more affordable than the flagship series, but its capabilities are satisfactory. Now in the latest news, Samsung actually did not release its successor, namely the Galaxy S22 FE. Why?
"We heard from various sources that the Galaxy S22 FE is being cancelled. Our own research has shown that the SM-S900, which will be the model number for the Galaxy S22 FE, does not exist," Sammobile wrote in its report.
Previously, a website in South Korea also indicated that the Galaxy S22 FE was not made by Samsung. As quoted by us from Tom's Guide, Friday (17/6/2022) the cause may be due to the success of the Galaxy A and also the price factor in the flagship series.
In the past, the price of the FE series with the flagship was quite far apart. Well, both the Galaxy S21 and S22 debut at USD 799, only about USD 100 more expensive than the FE series. Then maybe the FE series is not so necessary anymore.
On the other hand, there was a production delay due to the pandemic until the Galaxy S21 FE could only debut in early 2022. Not long after, Samsung launched the Galaxy S22.
"While the Galaxy S22 price and release hit FE from above, Galaxy A phones pushed FE from below. Samsung is working to introduce a better mid-range handset, with premium features and a reasonable price," wrote Tom's Guide.
Call it the Galaxy A53, with a refresh rate of 120Hz and other features, including storage that can be added. The price is USD 250 cheaper than the Galaxy S21 FE.
"Samsung released a solid choice in the high-end and mid-range, so there's no room for the FE. In the previous two models, the FE was a cheap alternative to the more expensive flagships, but that role is now being filled by the Galaxy A," said Tom's Guide. So maybe that's the reason the Galaxy S21 FE doesn't have a successor yet.
