Geekbench Score Nothing Phone (1) Reveals Processing Chip Is Snapdragon 778+

Nothing Phone (1) is Nothing’s first smartphone and the second product after their TWS Nothing Ear (1). The device is seen to have managed to become a public conversation by showcasing an LED system that is unique and different from any device manufacturer.

The specifications of this device are still a mystery. As far as we know, the screen is AMOLED, supports refresh rates around 90Hz, runs Nothing OS based on Android 12, has an LED system with Glyph interface, charging may be 45W and there is a dual-camera. The construction is said to be environmentally friendly, like recycled aluminum.

The device is already expected to be launched as a premium mid -range device. Among the processing chips expected to be used are the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 or Snapdragon 778. Most recently, Ice Universe revealed that the device will use the Snapdragon 778+ chip after finding a record in the Geekbench benchmark system.

The single-core score of this device is 797 with the multi-core score being 2803. The memory seen is 8GB of RAM. This score is very low when compared to the Snapdragon 870 chip. If there is even a 12GB RAM memory variation, the score still can’t be that high.

With this chip, the selling price of the device we expect should be on par with other devices with more or less the same specifications. In Malaysia, the Samsung Galaxy A73 5G with Snapdragon 778G chip is priced at RM2099. Hopefully the selling price is in the same range.

What is the feeling of consumers who bid the price of this device on StockX up to more than RM11 thousand?
