The Story of Marie Curie, the Brilliant Scientist Who Was Accused of Being an Actor

Marie Skłodowska-Curie was a brilliant scientist who was extremely intelligent. He even received his first Nobel Prize in 1903 for chemistry, something that confirms his extraordinary intelligence. He was a pioneer in the field of radioactive science.

However, behind his intelligence, his personal story is actually more in demand by ordinary people.

According to IFL Science, in 1906, Marie Curie's husband, Pierre Curie, died, leaving Marie Curie a widow. A few years later, he became involved with the scientist Paul Langevin who was one of Pierre's students.

At that time, Langevin's relationship with his wife was distant, but technically they were still married. Marie Curie's love affair and herself brought destruction in front of her eyes, making his wife furious and decided to give this issue to the media.

At that time, Curie, Langevin and about 20 other scientists were being invited by an official in Brussels, 1991. It was there that Curie and Langevin's love letters spread in the media, so that Curie's image was immediately destroyed and he was called a household destroyer.

After the conference in Brussels, Curie returned to France and found his house surrounded by people. At that time, his 7-year-old and 14-year-old children could only stand still, frightened. Marie Curie finally decided to temporarily move to a friend's house with her children until the issue subsided.

Albert Einstein even wrote to Marie Curie to support the Curies. In short, Einstein asked the Curies to ignore the haters and said that he admired the Curie's intelligence.

"I am compelled to tell you how much I admire your intelligence, your drive, and your honesty, and that I consider myself fortunate to have personally acquainted with you in Brussels," read a few lines from Einstein's letter.

Despite scandals raining down, Marie Curie was eventually awarded a second Nobel, despite the nominations committee trying to prevent Curie from going to Stockholm to accept her in order to avoid a scandal. With his personal and professional life in shambles, he became depressed and decided to step back from the public eye.
