University of Technology MARA (UiTM) through the Faculty of Communication and Media Studies has established a strategic partnership with Samsung Malaysia through the official launch of the Samsung Galaxy Lab Smart Classroom.
This initiative is part of the Galaxy Campus program and reflects efforts to strengthen relationships between local academic institutions and the industry sector. It is also in line with the rapid development of digital transformation in the country.
For the first time, conventional lecture rooms at UiTM have been completely upgraded into modern learning spaces. A large-scale space is now available complete with the latest technology from Samsung to support current teaching needs more effectively in a high-tech environment.
UiTM is among the earliest universities in Malaysia to establish a partnership with Samsung Malaysia to make this initiative a success. This initiative is also an ongoing effort in line with the rapid development in the field of digital education.
Among the devices provided in this initiative include the latest models such as the Galaxy S25 Ultra and S25 Plus, Galaxy S24 Ultra and S24 Plus, as well as wearable devices such as the Galaxy Watch6 and Galaxy Buds FE. Also available are previous models such as the Galaxy A9 series, and the Galaxy Tab S9 FE and S10 FE tablets.
All of these devices can be used directly by lecturers and students, thus supporting a learning experience that resembles a real industrial environment and is based on the use of modern technology.
This collaboration does not just involve sponsorship, but also includes ongoing technical support and a guarantee of device replacement in the event of damage. This approach helps ensure the continuity of the teaching and learning process in a stable and efficient environment.
The launch ceremony was completed in the presence of the Dean of the Faculty of Communication and Media Studies UiTM, Dr. Rasid, and the Corporate Director of Samsung Malaysia. Both parties expressed their commitment to empowering students in the field of media and communication through the latest technological facilities.
The Vice Chancellor of UiTM himself was also present to give full support to this initiative, expressing confidence that this kind of collaboration can accelerate the evolution of a more modern learning ecosystem.
