Earlier this year, we heard preliminary reports regarding the co-founder Geely company in talks to take over the Meizu phone company.
Now, Reuters reports that the relevant company has now taken over a 79% stake in smartphone maker Meizu.
Talking about it, Geely said there is a very close connection between technology in vehicles and smartphones.
As many people know, various trains are now moving towards electricity, in addition to integrating various smart features. Naturally Geely who have a number of vehicle brands under them – including Proton, do not want to be left behind in the arena and gain technological expertise through this takeover.
As usual, we're both looking forward to seeing what Geely's next step in this arena will be, and how Meizu will make a comeback in the smartphone arena.
