iPhone Price Predicted to Reach USD6000

Today phones priced above USD1000 may be commonplace, but five years ago, such a high price for a cell phone was a shocker.

Well, in 2032, the price of premium phones such as the iPhone is predicted to penetrate USD 6,000. The prediction emerged from the increase in the price of mobile phones over the past few years.

In 2012, Apple released the iPhone 5 at a price of USD 199, and now the price of the iPhone 13 Pro Max is USD 1,099, or a 452% increase. If the trend continues, in 2023 the iPhone price is predicted to penetrate USD 6,059.

A significant increase in the price of premium cellphones arguably occurred when Apple released the iPhone X, which cost USD 999. After Apple did that, other manufacturers who usually sell cellphones at low prices followed suit.

Interestingly, it's not just the iPhone whose price is predicted to skyrocket in 2023. The price of Motorola and Huawei flagship phones could also reach USD 3,300 that year, assuming the price increase trend is consistent with the current one, which is 221%.

Before being beaten by the US Government, Huawei's cell phone prices were usually 30% cheaper than devices in its class. However, now that Huawei is having trouble finding component supplies, the price of its devices has also increased.

While Motorola mobile phones in the same period in price increased from USD 300 to USD 999, or an increase of 233%, and if the upward trend continues, the price of Motorola mobile phones in 2032 will reach USD 3,333, 6/2022).

Then there's Samsung, which turns out to be less expensive than the phones mentioned above. The increase in the same period was only 184%. Then there is OnePlus which is up 142%, Sony is up 105%, and Nokia is up 55%.

But it must be remembered, there are many factors that influence the increase in the price of mobile phones. Starting from the price of components, the scarcity of components, even the price of fuel has an effect. So, it could be that the prediction was wrong and the increase was not that big, or it could be even bigger than that.
