LINE Today will officially close on July 6, 2022. Line said this step was taken as a form of the company's strategy to focus on financial technology services (fintech).

This decision is our strategic decision to refocus on the financial technology business. We will also continue to provide other essential services and carry out M&A activities in the country.
Some services, including the standalone Line app, will continue to operate as usual. The applications are:
LINE app and other communication services (including Stickers)
LINE Bank
LINE Webtoon
LINE Games
Fintech business like LINE Split Bill
Timeline (or LINE Voom).
What about the fate of the team that previously filled LINE Today? They will assign or relocate existing resources in their company, in line with this new strategic business direction.
