While Qualcomm is ready to come with the previous Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 offering, now MediaTek is also present with its own "Plus" offering.
Today, MediaTek introduced the new Dimensity 9000 Plus processing chip. The new chip comes with a 4nm build, and includes the Cortex-X2 at 3.2Ghz, paired with the Cortex-A710 at 2.85Ghz, as well as the Cortex-A510. On the GPU side, it includes the Mali-G710 GPU MC10.
This processing chip brings 5% faster speeds than ever before, including over 10% graphics performance.
Other supported features include camera sensors up to 320MP, AV1 support, 180Hz refresh rate at FHD+resolution, and WiFi 6E.
MediaTek is targeting a number of devices using it to be marketed starting the third quarter of 2022.
