This was announced at the 2022 Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) where Masaru Ijuin, Capcom's Advanced Technical Research Division Manager, said that the MacBook Air will be able to run Resident Evil: Village at 1080p resolution.
"With incredible performance, now Mac, relying on Apple Silicon, is the best gaming platform. We can get 1080p resolution on MacBook Air and 4K quality from Mac Studio," he said, quoted by Sportskeeda, Thursday (9/6/2022) .
This is a fairly significant development. Given that Macs themselves have had an uneasy history, regarding compatibility issues with many games.
Usually, users of this Apple product, require dual-boot Windows. Where it aims, in order to be able to run some games through the game buying and selling store, namely Steam.
"Before, we only allowed high performance for consoles and PC gaming. But now, we make it compatible with all Macs that use Apple Silicon," he added.
"Resident Evil: Village Mac version will be available at the end of 2022," he concluded.
