Many tech companies want something unique on their product, so that it gets people’s attention. Some focus on the camera, some on performance, screen and so on.
They will also use various marketing methods such as advertising to focus on a particular feature or function, but in advertising not everyone is honest and some just find a way to stick around and assume they will be safe from it.
Recently, Samsung was found to be sticking to the performance of their television screens. In benchmarking tests conducted by FlatpanelsHD and HDTVTest, they found that Samsung uses special algorithms to detect which benchmarking software is being used.
This algorithm increases the luminance reading of the Samsung Neo QLED television by up to 80%, which is why this television panel is not able to reach that level of brightness. This algorithm is also said to change the displayed color settings to look more accurate.
However, Samsung has issued a statement that they will distribute software updates to fix this algorithm issue. This update will ensure the user experience will be in line with industry standards.
