Samsung held 74% of the world’s foldable screen device market in the first quarter of 2022 according to a DSCC report published this week. A total of 2.22 million foldable screen devices were released this quarter which is equivalent to a 571% increase over the same quarter in 2021.
Huawei is in second place with a 20% stake with other manufacturers each holding less than 2% of the market. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3 is the highest selling device with a 51% stake followed by the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 and P50 Pocket. Samsung’s dominance in the foldable screen device market occurs as they sell devices in various global markets.
