Nothing is a new startup company developed by Carl Pei. The company received a lot of investment from various technology companies like Google, Qualcomm, celebrities like Casey Neistat and also received investment from many fans.
Their first product is TWS, Ear (1) and soon on July 12 their first smartphone Nothing Phone (1) will be launched. The device is seen receiving various reactions from the public, some like it and some hate it to the point of scolding.
The uniqueness of this device lies in the design as well as the LED system on the back of the device. Other specifications are still a mystery, but Carl Pei fans who are confident with this product are willing to spend up to more than RM13 thousand through the auction of the first 100 units on StockX.
Nothing Phone (1) will also be sold by invitation only, like the OnePlus One before. Since last week, Nothing has started inviting selected investors as well as eligible community members at nothing.community to start pre-booking with a special invitation code. While those who have access to the special link will have to wait their turn when the pre-order opens later.
Each guest is seen receiving a € 20 or INR2000 voucher, which is around RM90-RM100 for a discount on buying a Phone (1) or Nothing accessory. As of today, at the time this article was written there were already a total of 152,998 people registering interest and waiting their turn to pre-book.
Sales of these devices are seen to be limited in selected countries such as India and European countries such as Germany and the United Kingdom.
