Instagram has recently been judged to be increasingly similar to TikTok, as seen by Reels video shows increasingly dominating. In fact, Kylie Jenner and Kim Kardashian, two public figures with millions of followers on Instagram, also have the same concern.
Jenner shared a screenshot showing user @illumitati's post on Instagram Stories. The post contained text asking Instagram to stop copying TikTok. "Make Instagram Instagram again," wrote the post Jenner shared on Instagram Stories
Jenner's sister Kim Kardashian also shared the same post on her Instagram Stories. The protests from the two celebrities forced Instagram boss Adam Mosseri to speak up.
Through the video, Adam admits that a lot of changes are happening on Instagram. He emphasized that Instagram will continue to support photo posts, but will indeed focus more on videos over time because that's what people like.
Then, he added, if a user sees a new version of Instagram with a full screen screen in the feed, it is still in testing. "It's still not good," he was quoted as saying by CNBC.

Regarding recommendations that sometimes appear from unfollowed accounts, Adam said it was to help users discover new content and help creators to spread their content.
At the end of the video, Adam asks for feedback from Instagram users if any. Protests immediately spread, reminding Instagram not to focus on videos.
"When did Instagram accept that not all creators make videos? Graphic designers, photographers and other visual artists helped build Instagram and depend on it to share their work," wrote one user.
