DALL.E 2 is an artificial intelligence from OpenAI that can generate realistic images based on text provided by the user. Its impressive capabilities have led to over 1 million applications being received by OpenAI from people who want to try it.
OpenAI announced that the DALL.E Beta is now open to applicants with each user receiving 50 free credits for the first month and 15 free credits every month thereafter. A total of four images will be generated by DALL.E Beta for each credit or only 3 images if the text input is edited.
If these credits are not enough, OpenAI sells 460 credits for $15. Every image generated by DALL.E Beta belongs to the user. This gives them the right to commercialize it.
Even so, OpenAI will prevent images that resemble realistic human faces, images of celebrities or famous individuals and produce pornographic images to prevent DALL.E Beta from being misused by certain parties. Each generated image will be monitored using automated systems as well as human staff at OpenAI.
