AirPods are a set of true wireless earphones or TWS from Apple. With this product, more and more TWS are produced to compete. Some are from audio companies and some are from device manufacturers.
Although AirPods are not the best TWS, but they still sell well because of the ecosystem. Among the interesting functions is the multipoint feature or tethering to two devices simultaneously and also audio exchange between two devices. For example, play a video on the iPad listen through the AirPods and if there is an incoming phone call on the iPhone – the user can continue to answer with the AirPods without re-tethering.
This feature is still missing on Android, except for basic quick tethering via Google Fast Pair. Now with the Pixel Buds Pro already on sale in selected markets, the Google Fast Pair system will be updated with the ability to exchange audio between two devices.
On the Pixel use it to answer the phone, then just play the video on the Chromebook – the audio will continue to play on the Pixel Buds Pro. This feature is exclusive to the Pixel Buds Pro and will soon be rolled out to select Sony and JBL audio accessories. This feature will also be gradually expanded to more Android devices and audio accessories to ensure that Android users can enjoy this convenient premium feature.
