Last month, Aco Tech launched Atlas, an operating system for inforia on select Proton cars such as the X70, X50, Iriz and Persona. This Atlas system will replace the GKUI currently in use. This Atlas system however is not Android Auto, but is built based on Android 10.
With Atlas, users can modify the position of their own widgets, support offline navigation, intelligent voice -based controls identify driver and passenger voices as well as have the Atlas Pay payment system built into the car.
During the launch of Atlas, they have stated that they will be working with a popular audio streaming company. But at the time according to Nextrift, they hadn’t revealed it yet. Now after almost a month, Aco Tech has officially announced that the Atlas operating system for Proton inforia will support the Spotify audio streaming app.
Interestingly, this collaboration also integrates the Spotify Connect system for users to control from a phone. Users can also control and access Spotify directly from vehicle inforia with this Atlas update. This update will be distributed to selected Proton cars starting the third quarter of 2022.
After the update, users can also download Spotify through the A Store app store. The main condition for using this Spotify is inforia need to run Atlas with Android 8.0 and above.
