Larissa Rochefort and the Secret to Becoming a Successful Cosplayer


 Larissa Rochefort, a famous cosplayer and gamer from Indonesia, said that wearing costumes to resemble characters in anime or games can be a lucrative profession. It's just that according to him, there are some things that must be considered.

"But I won't mention how much my income is worth. Maybe I'll mention it at a more appropriate time. It's just a job that requires dedication, not just passion, it requires dedication and commitment," Larissa told us during the Wayang Kulit show. Apex Legends Mobile, titled Jagad Sandya Legenda, Saturday (2/7/2022).


Larissa said that before she was famous, at first she was still nobody and many people did not appreciate it. However, he did not give up and kept trying while giving his best.



"The key is don't give up and don't miss an opportunity," says Larissa.


Larissa herself first cosplayed in 2012. Then she started focusing on this activity in 2017, when she tried to resemble a character named Tubi from the game NieR: Automata.


So, when asked about the reason, he said that he had always liked pictures. Then one day, Larissa also wanted to be that character and ended up doing her cosplay.


Larissa's efforts to become an anime and game character have been done more than 100 times. Where according to his confession, his current favorite character, namely Wraith, is one of the three Legends who were present at the Wayang Kulit Jagad Sandya Legenda show.


"There are many favorites, yes, I can't mention one by one. But of course, what I like right now is the character Wraith. He's cool and I also really enjoy playing that character," said Larissa.


In presenting the resemblance to the desired character, this cosplayer, who is also a gamer, revealed the capital to make a costume. The highest cost ever disbursed by Larissa alone reached Rp 15 million.


"Only if it's the cheapest one myself, my current standard is for working professionals, a minimum of IDR 2 million. Because from choosing materials to pattern ideas, I also think about it. So I don't only pay for materials and ideas, but also the people involved, ' answered Larissa.


He also admitted that his profession as a cosplayer was indeed a coveted job. Plus, he combines this with his activities of playing games while live streaming.


In closing, the cast of the Wraith character in the Apex Legends Mobile Shadow Puppet trailer, gives his messages to people who have just entered and are working as cosplayers.


"Keep doing what you like, but don't forget to also obey the norms of society. Because some people still don't understand what cosplay is. Just take care of yourself, take care of your cosplayer image as you should and do what is your passion," he concluded.
