Last week, Xiaomi announced the arrival of their latest series of smart devices consisting of several devices including the Xiaomi 12S, Xiaomi 12 Pro Dimensity Edition and Xiaomi 12S Ultra.
The Xiaomi 12 Pro Dimensity Edition is seen coming with the latest MediaTek processing chip, the MediaTek Dimensity 9000+, a processing chip for flagship class devices that are seen to want to compete with offerings by companies such as Qualcomm and even Samsung.
Recently, the benchmark score for the Dimensity 9000+ chip has been leaked to the web arena via Antutu and also GeekBench which on average shows a score that is not very different when compared to Qualcomm's most powerful processing chip to date, the Qualcomm Snapdragon. 8+ Gen 1.
On Antutu’s benchmark, the Xiaomi 12 Pro showed an overall score of 1,041,416 and on GeekBench, it showed a single-core score of 1332 and a multi-core score of 4299.
Showing on our own comparison, this MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ chip has a benchmark score on par with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 as well as Apple A15 Bionic processing chip.

Unfortunately for now, it seems that the Xiaomi 12 Pro Dimensity Edition is only offered for the Chinese market. Even so, it is possible that we will be able to see the latest and greatest processing chip by MediaTek on other smart devices in the future.
