Micron is a well-known manufacturer of memory and storage chip components, especially for their 3D NAND components which are often developed rapidly.
Recently, Micron has started mass producing their latest 3D NAND memory which comes with 232 layers through their memory manufacturing factory in Singapore. With this NAND chip, Micron is seen not only to be able to produce components that come with a high amount of storage, but also a high data transmission speed.
Micron says that this 232-layer 3D NAND comes with the highest data density per mm2, which is as much as 14.6Gb and has an I/O speed as high as 2.4GB/s, where the average I/O speed for a previous NAND chip was 1.6Gb/s. s.
Micron says that they have already started producing these NAND chips, and in addition to selling them to other component or device developers, they will use these 232-layer chips to develop their own storage and memory products under their Crucial brand.
