Nothing Phone 1 has recently been officially released in a number of countries. Despite receiving a positive response, unfortunately this cellphone was hit by design flaws and other problems.
As per a report by 91Mobiles, a user in India took to Twitter about the material quality issues seen on the back panel of the Nothing Phone 1. There are supposedly alignment issues with the cable band, LED flash placement, and more.
The report also mentions that while trying to replace a faulty Nothing Phone 1 unit, he was unable to make the request via Flipkart e-commerce.
The problems didn't end there, another customer tweeted that the company should have shipped a faulty Nothing Phone 1 as a replacement. The reality is the opposite.
The 91Mobiles page has confirmed the issue with Nothing. A spokesman for Nothing said he was aware of this.

"We recognize that some of our early customers were affected, the scale is very low. Our standards are very high and this is not the experience we want for any user. We apologize for any inconvenience caused. We are working hard to address all issues and the latest software updates has helped recalibrate the display effect." said a Nothing spokesman.
Prior to this issue, Nothing Phone 1 was faced with the issue of green color on the screen on some users. Even the incident before Nothing Phone 1 officially went on sale. Others have complained about dead pixels around the punch holes.
Nothing has just released an update that brings improvements to battery performance and an improved fingerprint unlock experience. The update also adds HDR10+ support.
Specifications of Nothing Phone 1
Nothing Phone 1 features a 6.55-inch screen with Full HD+ resolution. This phone uses an OLED panel with a refresh rate of 120Hz, HDR10 +, 10-bit color, maximum brightness up to 1,200 nits and protected by Gorilla Glass 5.
The kitchen is supported by the Snapdragon 778G + chipset combined with two choices of LPDDR5 RAM, namely 8 GB and 12 GB. While the internal memory comes in capacities of 128 GB and 256 GB.
Nothing Phone 1 is equipped with a main camera on the back measuring 50 MP with a Sony IMX766 sensor. There is also a 50 MP ultra-wide camera with a Samsung JN1 sensor that can also take macro photos from a distance of 4cm. On the front, Nothing embeds a 16 MP camera with a Sony IMX471 sensor.
This phone has a 4,500 mAh battery with support for fast charging 33W which promises to be able to charge 50% in 30 minutes. This phone is also provided with 15W wireless charging capability and can charge gadgets wirelessly 5W.
The main highlight of Nothing Phone 1 that makes it alluring is the Glyph interface on the back. With a unique light pattern consisting of 900 LEDs that light up when someone calls, notifications from applications, charging status and more.
Users can pair individual contacts to ringtones with unique Glyph patterns. There is also a Flip to Glyph feature that displays notifications when in silent mode by simply turning the phone over.
The phone has a 100% recycled aluminum frame which makes it light and strong, while more than 50% of the plastic components used are made from bio-based recycled materials. This phone has a transparent back with a unique design consisting of more than 400 components.
Nothing Phone 1 comes in white and black color variants. The phone is sold in the UK, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Hungary, India, Israel, Italy, Macau, Malaysia, Netherlands, Norway, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Singapore, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand and UAE.
