The Tempest fighter jet will be equipped with a helmet that reads the pilot's brain

The Tempest fighter jet will be the main front-line aircraft used by the British Royal Air Force with it expected to begin operations in 2035. The project is still in its early stages but some new technology that has never been used on a fighter jet is confirmed to be used such as a wave-reading helmet pilot's brain.

Sensors in the helmet can detect the pilot is stressed or passed out while controlling the aircraft. The swaterbang system will then take over the task of flying the aircraft in such a situation.

Previously, BAE Systems, which developed the Tempest, said the aircraft would also be equipped with the first wearable cockpit with a screen on the pilot's arm while the physical screen and knobs would be replaced by a virtual display on the pilot's helmet.
