The digital companies that need to register for this PSE permit are digital companies that offer the purchase and sale of goods or services, companies that process financial information, companies that store data on sales and purchases and the financial sector and also companies. which offers in -app purchases.


Apart from allowing these platforms to operate in Indonesia, it also allows the Indonesian government to direct these platforms to provide user information, and delete content that is said to disrupt public order.


A recent report from Reuters says that Google and Twitter have yet to sign up for the permit, but Meta, which includes digital platforms such as Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram has already completed their registration, and is not expected to be affected by the new law that will take effect. tomorrow.


Under Google, it is expected that platforms such as Google’s digital search platform, YouTube and the Google Play Store will not operate if they still do not sign up for the permit.
