Acer's Vero computer series uses PCR (post-consumer recyclable) plastic recycling materials in their construction. A number of laptops like the Acer Aspire Vero were introduced not long ago as a way for Acer to show that they are serious about environmental issues.
Recently, Acer Malaysia updated the local Acer Vero offering by introducing the Acer TravelMate Vero laptop and the Acer Veriton Mini Vero compact computer which not only have good enough specifications for daily productivity purposes, but also at an affordable price.
Starting with the Acer TravelMate Vero laptop, this laptop comes with a 15.6-inch IPS screen display with Full HD resolution. It is powered by an Intel Core i5-1155G7 CPU with 8GB of DDR4 memory and 1TB NVMe PCIe 3.0 SSD storage.
In terms of plug offerings, it is equipped with three USB 3.2 Type-C plugs, one HDMI 2.0 plug and one 3.5mm audio plug. Acer also says that this laptop comes with support for WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2 and has a battery life of 7 hours on a single full charge.
Just like the previous Acer Aspire Vero option, 30 percent of the Acer TravelMate Vero's frame is made of black PCR plastic material. while the keyboard of this laptop also uses 50 percent PCR plastic, with the R and E characters on the keyboard being reversed to denote the use of recycled materials on this laptop.
The Acer Veriton Vero Mini is a midget computer for those who don't have enough space for a full-sized desktop computer. This computer comes with a size of 186.3mm x 186.3mm x 56.3mm and weighs only 1.3kg.
It is powered by an Intel Core i5-12400 CPU, 8GB of DDR4 memory and 256GB of NVMe PCIe 3.0 SSD storage. 25 percent of the laptop's frame is also made of PCR plastic, and more interestingly, the memory and storage components of this Acer Veriton Mini can be upgraded if users want more memory and storage.
