Not long ago, Google offered a monthly update on the number of Android versions used by devices around the world according to their respective percentages. However, it has been discontinued by Google without any good reason.
Anyway, now 9to5Google is sharing data obtained through Android Studio, showing the percentage of current Android usage.
According to shared data, Android 12, which was introduced around a year ago, is only used on 13.3% of active devices worldwide.
The use of versions such as Android 9, Android 10, and Android 11 is also seen to be more widespread than Android 12. The sharing of these latest numbers comes on the eve of the introduction of Android 13 which is expected to happen soon.
It seems that, despite the efforts of the manufacturer Samsung and some others to offer more frequent updates, however, the vast majority of users still do not receive the latest updates of the operating system.
