Among the hopes of artificial intelligence system developers is to produce chatbots that can chat like humans. This was successfully done by Google through LaMBDA until researchers claim it has real human-like consciousness. This week Meta announced open access to BlenderBot3 which is a chatbot with artificial intelligence.
BlenderBot3 has a capacity of 175 billion parameters to allow it to interact with humans in various topics that it wants to talk about. In the third iteration of BlenderBot, Meta put several security systems in place to ensure that this artificial intelligence is not "damaged" by users who teach it negative topics.
Microsoft, for example, ended their Tay chatbot project on Twitter six years ago after it was taught to use racial slurs by users of the social media platform.
For those who want to try BlederBot3 for themselves it can be accessed via this link but only for those living in the United States. Users outside the U.S. will need to use a VPN to access it.
