The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip itself are designed to have tougher durability. The duo of folding screen phones are equipped with a layer of Gorilla Glass Victus + which is harder like the one in the Galaxy S22 series.
In addition, the hinges of the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 are also protected by Aluminum Armor and the entire phone is also IPX8 certified which makes it waterproof. This hinge is also safe to open and close up to 2000 thousand times.
But unwanted incidents are common, including those that cause the folding screen to be scratched and cracked. Thankfully Samsung lowered the screen repair costs for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4.
As quoted from The Verge, Thursday (11/8/2022) Samsung lowered the cost of repairing the main screens of the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 to USD 29 with a Samsung Care+ subscription. So the cost of replacing the screens of the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 is the same as a regular phone.
In comparison, the cost of repairing the main screen of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 reaches USD 249 for devices that are not under warranty. This fee is also only available for Samsung Care+ customers.
But it should be noted that this is a fee for the United States. Samsung says Samsung Care+ coverage and services are different for each country.
