Last year, Dell launched a webcam in the shape of a cylinder with quality comparable to a DSLR at 4K resolution, the Dell UltraSharp Webcam. It is sold at a price of over RM1000 just for a web camera.
Recently, they launched another webcam with more or less the same design, the Dell Pro Webcam. This time it is offered at a cheaper price than previous web cameras.
The Dell Pro Webcam only supports QHD 2560 x 1440 recording at 30 fps or 24 fps. They use the Sony STARVIS sensor which also supports 1080p 60 fps and 720p HD recording. The camera also features autofocus with an f/2.0 lens aperture and supports 4x digital zoom. It can also track the user to ensure will always be in frame and in focus.
For the viewing angle it is not as wide as UltraSharp, but only 65 and 78 degrees. Dell also has its own system to reduce noise, activate HDR recording, optimize quality in low light and can further change camera settings through the Dell Peripheral Manager software.
The Dell Pro Webcam also has a microphone with a noise reduction system for quality audio. This webcam is also recognized for use with Zoom and Microsoft Teams. Too bad for connectivity it only supports USB-A with a built-in 1.5 meter cable. Dell Malaysia sells this camera at a price of RM724, which is RM427 cheaper than the Dell UltraSharp Webcam.
