Another processing chip MediaTek launched today after the T830 for routers announced this morning. MediaTek Pentonic 700 is a chip for smart television with 4K 120FPS screen.
The chip is equipped with a Cortex A73 quad-core CPU at 1.4GHz and an Arm Mali-G52 MC1 GPU. Although designed for 4K 120FPS panels, the Pentonic 700 supports up to 144Hz through the VRR feature. In addition, this chip is also equipped with an APU that performs the process of improving visual quality by increasing resolution, sharpness and detail.
HEVC, AV1, AVS3, and VVC (H.266) video codecs are all supported to allow content from various streaming platforms to be enjoyed. Dolby Vision IQ, HDR10, HLG, Technicolor/Philips JHDR (ESTI TS 103 433) and HDR10+ HDR displays are also supported along with Dolby Atmos audio.
