Oppo Watch 3 Series Now Official With Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 Chip, Curved Screen

 


The Oppo Watch3 series has finally been officially launched in China. Consisting of two different models namely Oppo Watch3 and Oppo Watch3 Pro, it received improvements from a number of aspects including design and internal hardware. This includes the use of the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 and Apollo4 Plus chips developed jointly by Oppo and Ambiq.



Oppo watch 3 is offered with a 1.75-inch AMOLED screen (430 x 372 pixels), while the Oppo Watch3 Pro is equipped with a 1.95-inch OLED screen (496 x 378 pixels). The screen is a curved type with a color display and touch support. Also included is a physical button on the right side for the Oppo Watch3, while the pro model has a rotary knob.


Further, both are equipped with 1GB RAM memory support, 32GB storage and run ColorOS Watch built on WearOS and RTOS. The included tracker is capable of monitoring various types of fitness such as heart rate, SpO2, ECG (pro version only) and more.



The battery used is advertised as being able to last up to 5 days through a 550mAh capacity for normal use on the Oppo Watch3 Pro, while the Oppo Watch3 is able to operate up to 4 days with a 400mAh battery. All of this is calculated for normal use with WearOS and RTOS mode support activated simultaneously.



On the contrary, Oppo Watch3 can be used for up to 14 days and a slight advantage for the pro model which can operate up to 15 days with RTOS mode only. It can however be reduced to 1.5 days when both are used in LTE mode continuously. Other specifications include bluetooth 5.0 support, 5ATM durability, NFC, GNSS and so on.



For the price, the Oppo Watch 3 is sold at RMB1599 (~RM1055) for the rubber strap and RMB1699 (~RM1121) for the leather strap. Meanwhile, the Oppo Watch3 Pro is priced at RMB1999 (~RM1318) (rubber strap) and RMB2099 (~RM1384) (leather strap).
