Police : Beware Of Fake SMS Notifying Money Credited To TNG eWallet Account

The Police are now warning the public to beware of fake SMSes informing users that money has been credited to the Touch n Go eWallet account.

In addition to the police, the same thing was also emphasized and reminded by MySejahtera, saying that they do not send any messages related to providing financial assistance to the public.

This warning was issued after in the last few days, some users reported receiving similar SMS from the government, informing them that they received credit through the TNG digital wallet. A link is included, and asks users to log into their respective TNG accounts via a fake web page.

The Police reminded that it is one of the tactics to get user information. People are reminded not to click on links, or access digital wallet accounts from authorized applications only.
